Location: Mexico City, Mexico
Architect: Alberto Kalach
The apartment tower at Reforma 27 was designed following the classical principles expressed 500 years ago by Vitruvius: beauty, firmness and utility.
The structure, essential in every tower, is used as the very expression of the building: it is the support, the container of the spaces and also the façade, which creates the thermal protection and privacy necessary for the apartments.
Below, a high commercial portico connects the tower with Paseo de la Reforma; above, a greenhouse of tropical plants and a pool with a mind-blowing underwater mural painted by Marco Kalach, connects it with the city and its volcanoes.
